How To Water an Air Plant
Air plants can hang loose without much care and still look stunning, but you can’t just pop them into a terrarium or stick them on a shelf and leave the little guys be.
Although their name may imply such, air plants can’t live on air alone. They need hydration like the rest of us flora and fauna.
So here’s how to water these goobers:
Place the plants in a bowl with clean water. Let soak for 10-15 minutes. Gently shake any excess water off the base.
Turn them upside down and leave them out of their containers on a a towel to dry (for up to four hours). Look at these dancing divas!
Another way to water your air plants is the misting method, which consists of spraying all surfaces of the air plant between 4-6 times.
